Welcome to Congregation Torat Emet's weekly Emes, all the news and happenings at the shul and around the community.  Enjoy and Shabbat Shalom!

Dear Friends,

In light of current events both in the US and abroad, it has become apparent
that the synagogue needs to pay more attention to physical security, especially
at times of greater attendance such as this coming weekend with all the events surrounding our scholar-in-residence.

You will see heightened security measures in place beginning this Shabbat to ensure the safety of our congregants and guests. There will be a staffed security table at the entrance to the building, and
you may be asked to make available your bags, strollers etc. for search prior to entering the shul.  We ask that you cooperate with these new security measures as we work diligently to ensure the safety of all our members and guests.

The synagogue staff along with our president, Monica Calabrese,  security committee chair Al Dembe and usher committee chairs Alan Katchen and Fred Needham continue to work on a long term plans for synagogue safety and
security in the coming weeks.  We will continue to communicate changes in
these plans to you as they are developed.

Looking forward to seeing all of you this weekend.  Shabbat shalom.
