Dr. Elli Kranzler, a well-known practicing psychiatrist in New York City, is also the Shaliach Tzibur at the Hebrew Institute of Riverdale.  Dr. Kranzler is a renowned composer and performer of Jewish music.  Deeply influenced by Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach, his integration of Reb Shlomo's Friday night service and his melodies into the Shabbat Tefilah in his congregation in Riverdale have earned him national acclaim.  He has recorded numerous studio albums and performed throughout the US, Israel and Europe.  His visit promises to be a soulful and inspirational experience for our community.


                    High Street Community
The High Street Community is a project led by Rabbi Effy Unterman for young professionals looking for meaningful Jewish experiences and fun ways to meet other young Jewish adults.  The program's goal is to help its participants learn about Judaism in a way that is exciting, enjoyable, open, and welcoming to others no matter their background.

First Friday - January 9, 2015
First Friday is a Shabbat experience for young Jewish adults of all backgrounds featuring a brief evening service and a Shabbat meal on the first Friday of every month. First Friday is hosted at 1 Miranova Place in downtown Columbus.

A Shabbat morning service and kiddush luncheon is held on the Shabbat morning following each First Friday at 10:30 am at 1 Miranova Place.
