Got talent?

We are having our first-ever art contest!  We invite all of our local photographers, painters, drawers, etchers to come to the park and be inspired to create something lovely.

The contest is free and submissions are due April 14.  Winners will be announced and art displayed at our May 3 sale.

A full description of the contest and the instructions to register are on our website -- http://markhamarboretum.org/artcontest.html

We hope to see you soon at the park, sharing it with all who will be just as enchanted as you with art and nature.

Reminder:

White Elephant donations

Starting this Tuesday, March 3, we are accepting donations for our first-ever White Elephant sale to be held in conjunction with our first weekend 2015 plant sale on March 21.  We will take anything new or used and in good working order with a garden-related theme.

You can drop off your donations at the nursery between 9a.m.-noon every Tuesday in March through 3/17.

Nothing motorized, gas or electric please.

Contact [email protected] if you have any questions or concerns.

Tomatoes on the horizon...

...40 varieties, in fact, for our April 4 annual edibles sale.  But so are melons, cukes, squash, burdock, and beans like the amazing Chinese Red Noodle pictured above.

We're only trying to tempt you to start getting your veggie beds ready, because summer growing is just around the corner, and we have a lot in store for you.
