to Look at Your
Shopping Lists . . .

Our complete list of tomatoes can be found here

And, our list of other edibles, and flowers is also available-by clicking here.

There are two styles of gardeners-
the planners, and the impulse buyers. Personally, I've always been both. If you're of a like mind, you might want to print out this shopping list; but you should definitely plan on bringing home some leafy little friends you hadn't counted on as well.

Please remember to bring your Membership Cards, to to take advantage of our Member's 20% discount on the price of plants.

And, About Those
Awesome Irises . . .

Iris in 1 gallon
The Pacific Coast Iris
At the sale . . . some hybrids, some "named," some rare . . . all gorgeous.

This remarkable and tough iris family
is my personal favorite of the iris world.  There are 11 of these native iris that range up and down the coast line from
as far north as Oregon to as far south as Santa Barbara and as far inland as the Sierras (Kern County). Most of the ones we find in nurseries, though, tend to be hybrids rather than true natives because they are easier to breed.

This year, however, we will be offering
a few true natives grown from seed (Douglas) as well as a nice selection of hybrids in a wide choice of colors. We will have a few named iris (assorted colors), a few donated by the Clayton Garden Club (gold or white), a few true natives (white, lavender or purple) and a few from my yard (lavender or purple).

These came from the Tilden Park Botanical Gardens and will be in my bouquet on the iris table. Some day these beauties may be commonplace in landscapes, but for now they are still fairly rare and therefore exciting. Drop by the Native Iris table on sale day and see if your inner Californian doesn't pop out and inspire you to buy a few!

Robin Parer," the Geranium lady" will be at the sale as well-with a variety of plants that are "cheerful, floriferous, and fascinating."
