Epiphany is the season leading up to Lent.  It has been overshadowed for many years by the celebration of Christmas, but, there is great significance in this day and season, because it helps us see the "other side" of the mystery of the Incarnation.

It is a staggering fact that God has become a human child, in Jesus of Nazareth.  But, Epiphany invites us to look at this great mystery from the opposite angle and helps us realize that this seemingly helpless Child is, in fact, the omnipotent God, the King and Ruler of the universe. The feast of Epiphany cries out to us of Christ's divinity and completes the feast with the commemoration of His humanity - enacted in his baptism. Read more ...

Music News from Stephen Brittain

As with all church choirs the Advent and Christmas seasons are extremely busy with additional music and services to prepare for.  We now enjoy a very brief break before we start preparing for Lent and Easter.

I want to take this opportunity to thank all of our singers and accompanists for their extra hard work during this busy season.  Also a special thank you to those youngsters that participated in the Bell Service on Christmas Eve.

For the Rite II service, music plays a vital role and we're always looking for addition singers that would like to blend their voices with ours.

Rehearsals are at 7:00 PM on Thursday nights.  Come be a part of one of St Hilary's most viable ministries.

For addition information you can contact Music Director Stephen Brittain at [email protected] or speak to any choir member!
