2013 is a year of transition.  This past month and the recent full moon have been full of energy that supports change!  It's SPRING!  We're cleaning our closets, making room for things we want in our lives and releasing those things that no longer serve us.  As the weather gets warmer, I am reminded of golf.  I am not a golfer myself, however I know many golfers.  I have always wanted to golf.  And this month, I am going to take a golf lesson! 

 

That is the energy of Pi.  Choosing those dreams that you want to become reality- not just saying you want to learn to golf.  Put action to the statement,  sign up for the class, and actually do it!  If you have joined us at any of the moon meditations this year you know that we are focusing our attention on the desires of our heart.  Choose the things that bring joy to your heart.  Now is the time to take action!  There is a big difference in wanting something and being ready to receive it.  That difference is action.  Taking action to step into your life, step into your destiny and be all that you are here to be. 

 

We make choices in every moment.  In this moment, choose to take action.  Choose your joy.  In the game of golf as you pick up the club and address the golf ball, it is your swing from start to finish that determines where the ball will go.  In fact, I have been told that the "follow through" on your swing is most important.  That makes perfect sense to me!  In golf and in life - place your focus on your dreams and take action.

Mentoring Groups Beginning!

New Mentoring Group Begin on Thursday, May 2nd.  If you are still interested in participating, see Denise. These small groups are intuitively created to inspire energetic synergy as we explore and journey together weekly over the course of six months. Groups form by invitation extended to those interested. If you are feeling nudged to be part of one of these life-changing circles, please contact us today!

Movement & Meditation

Hosted by our very own Student Teacher, Celia Bradshaw, this class is not just for "dancers". In fact, it is for ALL bodies, backgrounds, shapes and sizes. ALL ages and physical abilities, even if you are seated in a chair! This class is for YOU! All it requires is an open heart, curiosity and a willingness to explore what is just beneath our skin. Curious, but still a bit inhibited about what you can expect? Meditative dance is typically explored with your eyes shut and your HEART open, so no need to feel self-conscious! The observation we do is all inward!
  
In Movement & Meditation, students will learn and explore the benefits of meditative dance, with a guided meditation and reflection. Because there is movement, participants are reminded to wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. We will be dancing in bare feet, no socks. Please bring a journal, something to write with, and water to drink (hydrate!). 
 
Master the Mystery Machine
Sunday, April 28th 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

Unlock the mystery of one of creation's most mysterious energy machines: your body. Join us for this unique look at how our bodies whisper and sometimes shout to get our attention. 

Together, we will explore what our bodies tell us and how we can talk back to them in whole and healing ways as we move into physical wellness. Bring a journal,  something to write with, and water to drink!

Celebrate Earth Day Early with Celia!  Share in the rhythms of the Earth with our monthly Mixed Drum Circle.  Children welcome accompanied by an adult.  No experience neccessary, we provide instruments, but you are welcome to bring your own, too!

Meteor Shower May 4th/5th Wee Hours!  Bring a blanket, a picnic basket and friends and stargaze with us!

  

Join us Thurs., May 30th for Health & Wellness Night at the Tides Game! 6:35pm Start (Norfolk)  Want to go with us as a group?  Tickets will be $11 a person and those who wish to do so may carpool or ride the Tide from Newtown Station together!  Must pre-pay by May 15th to take advantage of our group seating!  Sign up at the front desk.

 

Book Sale to Benefit Scholarship Fund!  Any books sitting around you'd like to donate to a book sale at the Center?  Contact Julz or Denise to arrange to drop them off to us.  Proceeds of the book sale will go towards a scholarship fund that allows us to help people with genuine financial need participate in wellness programming at The RWMC.  Date TBA. We are currently accepted book donations for the sale.

Time to open windows, air out the linens, go for a bike ride, scrub the baseboards, take in a sunset (or sunrise!), give the heave-ho to clutter, begin new patterns for healthy lifestyles and take a breath of fresh air!  
  
The Reiki Wellness & Meditation Center wants to encourage you to live well all year round, which is why, in addition to our programs and classes, we are a part of the Young Living Community!  Young Living features essential oils that enhance wellness in body, mind, spirit - yours, your pets, your homes. . . 
  
As you are exploring what brings you joy in your home, consider these essential ways to bring grace to your space this spring!
  
Laundry!  Freshen & disinfect your laundry by adding 
  
2 drops lavender oil or
2 drops lemon oil
2 drops of melaleuca 
  
to a washcloth and tossing it in with the rest of your laundry!  Add it to the the dryer, too, for freshening your linens and towels!
  
Air Freshener!  Instead of merely masking "the stink", keep a spritzer of THIS by your sink and banish the odors! 
  
Add to a one quart spritz  bottle 
2 drops rosemary oil
4 drops lemon oil
2 drops eucalyptus oil
4 drops lavender oil
1 quart distilled water
  
Mix by shaking and use for air spritzing, counter tops, cupboards, sinks, tiles and stovetops.  It will deoderize and help keep it disinfected.
