September 2015

September, especially for those of us in the NorthEast is a month of big transition. We are moving into the fall but often with very hot days lingering from the summer. As the picture suggests, leaves are still green and just starting to turn to their brilliant autumn colors. It is back to work and back to school for many. Enjoy!

Positively Speaking
When Visits End Our Loved Ones Leave

The summer offers such a great opportunity to spend time with family and friends who are visiting. There is so much to do; going to the beach, taking boat rides and trips, taking day trips to nearby places on the ocean, going out to eat, having cookouts and parties, meeting new people, and just enjoying the glorious beauty of our area.

Now in September as fall is about to technically begin and summer vacations are ending, the flurry of company also ends. We are left with wonderful memories of those special people we miss and a void after their departure. Of course we are grateful for the times with those we love and we think about them and the times we share.

We don't talk about the loss that that much because we really aren't supposed to "mourn" those folks who are visiting even though we know we will see them again. We all have feelings of longing and loss when our children and grandchildren, significant others, spouses, and close friends have to leave.

The joy comes from  knowing that those loved ones will stay in touch and be back again.

Sincerely,

Patricia
