Interested in Arts & STEM?

Leaders from Los Angeles, Orange, and San Diego County's arts, education, and STEM communities have established the Arts and STEM Collaborative for 21st Century Learning. The purpose of the initiative is to explore how representatives from three counties and multiple content areas can work together to transform area schools into creative incubators.

The Boeing Company invested $75,000 to support this regional effort. A report will be released in December documenting the work accomplished in 2013 and highlighting findings relevant for the field.  The Los Angeles County Arts Commission, through its arts education initiative Arts for All, Arts Orange County, Los Angeles County Office of Education, Orange County Department of Education, STEAMConnect and Arts Empower San Diego are leading the collaborative.   More info.

The Orange County Register's Varsity Arts Playbook will feature pictures of the concerts and art shows produced in December to end your semester and/or to mark the holiday season or year-end.  Submission deadline is November 17.  Contact Heide Janssen for details.
