Pacific Chorale Honors Carl St.Clair at Its Season Ending Concert


Pacific Chorale wrapped up its 2013-2014 season on June 1 with a full evening of celebration including their annual Chairman's Dinner fundraiser at the Center Club, the world premiere of a new, commissioned work for their final concert (as part of the program entitled The Moon, the Sea and the Stars) in the Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall at Segerstrom Center for the Arts, and a post-concert Dessert Reception honoring Carl St.Clair, Music Director of Pacific Symphony (above left), presented by Pacific Chorale Artistic Director John Alexander.

Pacific Symphony Hosts Statewide Symphony Conference
Pacific Symphony is playing host to the Association of California Symphony Orchestras conference July 25-27 in Costa Mesa.  The statewide association provides a variety of services to its 400+ members including networking, mentorship, resource sharing, advocacy, and professional development.  Registration for the conference continues through June 29, and details may be obtained here.

"Story Circle" Unveiled at Santa Ana Affordable Housing Site

Design Team Led By GCAC Resident Artist Jules Rochielle

       

Cal State Fullerton's Grand Central Art Center has announced that their resident artist Jules Rochielle completed a public artwork at a new affordable housing site in Santa Ana.  Titled "Story Circle," it is envisioned as a neighborhood gathering place where stories can be shared.  More details here.

ArtsOC Encourages You to Attend the California Arts Council "Listening Tour" Visit in Costa Mesa July 25

Here is your chance to be heard about the status of the California Arts Council (CAC) and to offer your ideas for its future programs and services!  CAC is conducting a "listening tour" - a series of meetings around the state to ask for input from the arts field as they create a new Strategic Plan. They will visit Orange County on Thursday, July 25, 4:30-6 PM at the Westin South Coast Plaza Hotel, 686 Anton Blvd, Costa Mesa.  Admission is free.

Emerging Arts Leaders-OC Upcoming Events

 

Emerging Arts Leaders-Orange County, a program of Arts Orange County and a chapter in the Americans for the Arts Emerging Leaders Network, will hold a mixer on Tuesday, June 25.  EAL-OC will also be helping to welcome the Association of California Symphony Orchestras Conference to Costa Mesa with a mixer and dinner on July 25.  For more information about joining EAL-OC or attending these events, contact EAL-OC Chair Kristina Colby.
