Thirty years ago, California Stage & Lighting, Inc. first opened its doors near Harbor and MacArthur in Santa Ana. Their first order was from none other than South Coast Repertory Theater. SCR needed theatrical light bulbs and they placed that very first order in the amount of $2,619.91. Flash forward to October 2012, as California Stage & Lighting marks it 30th anniversary. Company founders Jimmy Ray Hutton, president and Irene Hutton, chief financial officer welcomed back Customer #1, SCR, represented by Founding Artistic Director Martin Benson. He, incidentally, probably placed that first order, presenting him with a check to SCR for $2,619.91. |
