Counseling Update
January 23, 2015
The IRHS Counselors are making their way through the English classes for the next couple of weeks to speak to students about pre-registration for the 2015-2016 school year. During the presentation, we will be handing out a Course Catalog and a Course Request Form to each student. Should your student be absent for this presentation, the English teacher will have their materials and the presentation can be found on the Counseling Department website. The dates are as follows:
Monday, January 26th Juniors will receive all materials.
Course request forms will be due February 3rd.
Tuesday, January 27th Sophomores will receive all materials.
Course request forms will be due February 9th.
Monday, February 2nd Freshmen will receive all materials.
Course request forms will be due February 13th.
On February 11th and 12th the counselors will be going to Coronado and Wilson, respectively, to deliver the same materials and message. Those forms will be due the following week, February 18th and 19th. A letter with specific information about 8th grade registration is being distributed at each middle school.

- Steve Barcanic, MA, LPC, a Arizona Licensed Professional Counselor who has provided individual counseling, parent coaching, school-based counseling, and seminars for parents and teachers for over 15 years.
- Diana Honebrink, MD, FAAP, a pediatrician at Oro Valley Pediatrics where she has been practicing since 2006. Dr. Honebrink completed her pediatric residency at Children's Hospital of St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix. She has lived in Oro Valley since 2001.
- Stefanie Basij, Director, Freshman Recruitment and Enrollment Services, University of Arizona
- Matt Ellis, Senior Director, Admission Services at Arizona State University
