From the Superintendent.....

April 21, 2014

Dear Amphitheater Community:
Both this month and next, we will mark several important dates of recognition for those who serve students in our schools. While we should always be mindful of the incredible contributions that these committed people make every day, the following dates can serve to focus the appreciation we hold for them:
  • Wednesday, April 23 - Administrative Professionals Day and   Educational Support Personnel Day
  • Tuesday, May 6 - National Teachers Day
  • Wednesday, May 7 - School Nurse Day
On April 8, the Governing Board adopted a resolution to commemorate the recognition date for support personnel. On May 6, the Board will do the same with respect to our teachers and other professional employees. Both resolutions will be posted on the District's website.
For more than twelve years, I have been honored to observe the remarkable talent and skills that our staff has, and I have seen those talents and skills take form in the learning and lives of our District's children. But, it is not talents and skills alone that make learning possible; also required are incredible effort, commitment, and care from each staff member - traits they bring to school and work every day.
The Governing Board and I honor the dedication and work of our employees, and we thank them for all they do. We celebrate you!
We also ask the community to join us in recognizing our school personnel on these special dates.

Sincerely,

Patrick Nelson
Superintendent
