Principal Selection Committee
Parent Election
Parents were invited to run for 2 of 3 parent positions on the IRHS Principal Selection Committee to help interview candidates to replace Mr. Szolowicz.
10 Parents have volunteered for this opportunity. Parents were asked to notify Mrs. Nelson (Associate Superintendent) of their interest to be on this committee. They were asked to please include the grade level(s) of any child(ren), the length of time they have been an IRHS parent, and their involvement at school. Those responses are available in pdf form for each candidate.
Below is the link for the Survey Monkey election for parents to
choose up to 3 candidates to represent the parents on this committee. Below, we have listed the parents and some information submitted by each parent. The top two vote getters will be selected to represent the parents. The third candidate will be chosen by the district.
Voting ends at 12pm (noon), Friday, 3/14/2014
Winners will be notified by Mrs. Nelson after the voting is completed and the selections are made. Complete emails of interest to Mrs. Nelson are linked to each candidate.

- My passion has been to help people, beginning with my kids, their peers and the adults who love and support them to know and love themselves, come alive, align with their values, talents, gifts and strengths and optimize their circumstances through this alignment and service. To this end, in 2003, I became a professionally trained and certified executive, career and life coach and leadership development consultant and have regularly offered my services, in addition to the normal volunteer work of actively engaged parents (e.g., project grad, wrestling boosters, NPO) pro bono, to IRHS parents, faculty, and students.

Oro Valley Police Department Active Shooter PresentationJoin us Monday, March 24 at 6:30 pm in the Library Lecture Hall
Learn about what you can do in an active shooter situation and how this would be handled on an Amphi school campus.
The Active Shooter presentation is being given to schools along with the general public. This is more of a presentation for adults. It gives information on how they can better protect themselves and their children in the event of an active shooter and what to expect when law enforcement arrives on the scene of an active shooter.
It is pertinent to parents for two reasons; an active shooter can occur anywhere, ie: movie theater, mall, Target or Walmart. This presentation will help you be more prepared should you be involved in an active shooter event. This will also inform parents on what we are teaching the faculty and staff at the schools their children attend.
