From Mr. Szolowicz...
Today at the end of second lunch (about 1:30), a fan motor on the roof of the A building burnt out creating some smoke but fortunately no fire.
Unfortunately, the motor was near an air intake vent and smoke got into the upstairs hallway.
The A building was evacuated and the fire department responded. The building was cleared for re-occupancy by the fire department and classes resumed about 2:00 pm. All students are safe. As with every emergency event, we will evaluate the effectiveness of our response and make changes as necessary. Michael Szolowicz, Principal Ironwood Ridge High School 520.696.4004
