Gala Fundraiser for District Is THIS Saturday

There is still time to get your tickets to the Friends of Amphi Gala! On Saturday, March 9th you can enjoy a great band and some very cool silent auction items and school prizes. This fun evening is the Foundation's major fundraiser; proceeds benefit our schools' programs, teachers and students. We look forward to celebrating together on March 9th!
Many Ways to Support IRHS Project Grad - What's for you?

  • Eat food - Next Tuesday (3/12) bring this flyer to the Oro Valley Chili's between 4 and 10pm, order some food, and 15% of the proceeds will go to IRHS Project Grad. This offer is good for both dine in and carry out. Invite your friends out to dinner and make a night of it!
  • Make decorations/build sets that bring the seniors' chosen theme (Light up the Ridge) to life and create a fun atmosphere for their celebration. Work parties are held at the school from 9am-1pm on these Fridays (3/8, 4/5, 4/19, 5/3) and Saturdays (3/23, 4/13, 5/4, 5/11), with two additional Wednesday dates (3/27, 4/24; both from 1-4pm). No need to sign-up, simply drop by. Contact Kathy Odenkirk (401-2858) for more info.
  • Talk on the phone and visit stores - Lend a hand gathering food donations/supplies, one of the most vital ingredients to a great party. Contact Mary Watson (531-9528) for more info.
  • Move, hang, and tape objects - After the students leave school on Friday May 17th, volunteers like you will start arriving to transform the gyms into a unique, new space. Everyday from then until graduation on May 22nd, the adult volunteers have as much fun putting up the lights and decorations as the new grads have under, on and around them at the party. Mark your calendars now, and look for an online sign-up in the coming months. If you want a reminder or have a question, contact Kersten Kremer (343-8317).
  • Be a host at one of the party stations - During the evening of Wednesday May 22nd (and the beginning hours of May 23rd), you can be a part of the fun, witnessing the joyful new graduates on their big day. The all-night party is huge and takes MANY hands, but it is divided into short shifts and specific roles (food, security, check-in, various entertainment stations, etc.) to let volunteers select how (and how much) they want to participate. Save the date now, and look for an online sign-up in the coming months. Want a reminder or have a question? contact Kersten Kremer (343-8317).
Prom Dress - Give and Take Options

In the spirit of that friendly note alongside some cash registers - "Have a penny, leave a penny. Need a penny, take a penny." - prom dress swapping programs are active in our District. If you have an old prom dress that you will never wear again, please consider dropping it off at the Student Government room (A 301). If you are in need of a prom dress, please consider picking up one at the Amphi Clothing Bank (3335 N. Stone). In addition to all sizes of many beautiful dresses, there are also a few dressy shoes, handbags and some jewelry. There is no charge to use the clothing bank and for this occasion they will happily serve all high school girls in our district (not just those who have a referral). To enjoy this program, go to 3335 N. Stone on Wednesday, April 3rd between 5:30 and 6:30PM. Reduce-Reuse-Recycle economics is a beautiful thing!
