As many have heard by now, longtime IRHS Security Officer Paul Krause passed away Thursday morning at Oro Valley hospital.
Paul was a military veteran who served in Korea. He subsequently worked at the Tucson Citizen before joining the Amphitheater family as an Equipment Manager at CDO.
Paul moved to IRHS as a Security Officer and faithfully served our community for the past decade. One student mentioned this morning that Paul, "kept me out of so much trouble.
Paul's son also coached both football and volleyball at IRHS.
A little known fact, Paul designed the Nighthawk logo that is displayed on our football helmets.
Paul was 67 years old and 17 days away from retirement.
He will be missed.
Also, counselors and psychologists are available for any student, staff or faculty member who needs their services.
