CLUB NEWS

The IRHS HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) Club is in need of donations.  HOSA supports students to participate in fall and spring statewide leadership conferences and health related competitions,

supports students as members of the SMART Team (Students Modeling a Research Topic) and  also supports fieldtrips such as: the UofA College of Medicine Library (Spring 2012) for a lesson in scientific journal researching and reading, to the Animal Care Facilities of the UofA College of Pharmacy (Spring 2012) and to Health Science and Nursing Day at Grand Canyon University (Fall 2011), UBRP - Undergraduate Biology Research Project presentations at Bio5 (Spring 2012), and more!

IRHS HOSA is seeking community financial support in the form of tax credits to IRHS HOSA, or other donations, to help cover the costs of fieldtrip and conference registrations, travel, and training resources for students.

For more information click HOSA WEBPAGE or contact Liane Futch at lfutch@amphi.com for more information.

The FINE ARTS BOOSTER (FAB) helps support the IRHS Fine Arts Department and the Art Club through volunteering and fundraising. There are many ways for parents to be involved: volunteer in the classroom or at Art Club Thursdays 3:30-5pm (enthusiasm is the only requisite), donate needed materials to the classroom (black Sharpie markers and 1 or 2 gallon ziplock bags are always needed), help with the end of the year Fine Arts banquet where art and Art Club students are recognized, or help with field trips or public art projects. Monetary gifts or tax credit donations for the purchase of needed equipment, additional supplies, or to support field trip scholarships are also much appreciated.  Please consider volunteering. If you are interested, please contact Jennifer Vigil, FAB President, at 297-8481 or jcvigil@email.arizona.edu. Please consider joining us for our next monthly meeting:
