PayPal Integration Coming Soon big-bills-money.jpg

We are nearing completion of the integration of PayPal as a payment option on shopgoodwill.com

Goodwill of Orange County is currently accepting PayPal transactions. Following successful testing from Goodwill of Orange County, we will open this option up to the seller community.  Sellers who wish to offer PayPal as a payment option will need to enter their PayPal credentials into their shopgoodwill seller account.

To onboard sellers who wish to offer PayPal as a payment option but who do not already have a PayPal account, and to ensure that your organization is getting the Non-Profit discount, PayPal will be setting up an 800 number for you to call.  We'll pass that number along as soon as it is available.

Authorize.net/MD5 Hash

Following the successful implementation of the PayPal integration, we will be making a small but important change to the way non-PayPal credit card payments are processed. Currently, customers enter all of their credit card information on shopgoodwill.com and we then pass that information to Authorize.net "behind the scenes" for processing and verification.

In the new method, customers will enter a billing and shipping address for their order on shopgoodwill.com, but will then be sent to a payment form page on Authorize.net where they will enter the rest of their credit card information (card number, security code and expiration date). Their payment information will then be processed and verified, and they will then be sent back to shopgoodwill.com.

To make this change possible, each seller will need to create an MD5 Hash and properly configure the payment Form Fields in their Authorize.net account.  If you have not already done this, please contact me directly at 714-602-5133 ext. 103 or markc@ocgoodwill.org for step-by-step instructions.

Customer Service Help Desk

  headset-computer-lady.jpg

As previously announced on the shopgoodwill.com seller support site (if you haven't yet registered on the new support site, please do so here), the Customer Service Help Desk feature on shopgoodwill.com is now enabled for preview/testing purposes.  It is available for testing by all sellers by following the instructions below.

Please note that the test phase will only be lasting another week or two before the Help Desk goes live to all customers later this month, so it is important that you familiarize yourself with the system prior to its site-wide release to customers.

To test the Help Desk feature from the seller site, the Customer Service setting needs to be enabled for each seller loginID on your seller account who will be using it.   To do this, the manager/customer service administrator of your seller account (i.e. someone with level 2 access) will need to go into Admin/Seller Logins from your Seller Menu, select his/her own loginID and the loginID(s) of anyone who will be using the Help Desk feature, and set the Customer Service option on those loginIDs to Yes.

Level 2 loginIDs with Customer Service set to Yes will be able to see all tickets, and will be able to configure assignees for each ticket category in the Admin/Seller Settings - Customer Service Notification area.

Level 1 loginIDs with Customer Service set to Yes will only see the tickets that have been assigned to them, and will not have access to the Customer Service Notification area in Seller Settings.

Help Desk tickets can be created from the seller site by going to the item details of an item that has received bids or has had an order created by clicking on Details and clicking the Create Support Ticket link.

To test the Help Desk feature and create test tickets from the buyer site, please send Phong (phongn@ocgoodwill.org) your Goodwill's name and the buyer loginID that you would like to use.   This can be your personal buyer loginID if you have one, or you can register and create a buyer loginID on the public site to use for test purposes.

You can use your buyer loginID to create tickets and get a sense of how the Help Desk will function and appear from the buyer's perspective on the buyer site.

Thank you for taking the time to read the shopgoodwill.com Seller Newsletter. Your feedback is important to us. Please email us with any comments or feedback you may have.
