Arbella is introducing an easy-to-use online reinstatement tool for MA PPA policies that will give you more options, control and flexibility. This new enhancement will immediately let you know whether a policy is eligible for reinstatement, and then the method of reinstatement is up to you! Easy to Find on Arbella Connect Simply search on the policy number or policyholder name to access the policy inquiry screens. Click on the new REINSTATEMENT REQUEST on the TRANSACTIONS bar located above the policyholder name. Immediate Eligibility Feature One of three messages will display to let you know whether the policy is eligible for reinstatement: - This policy is eligible for reinstatement.
- This policy is not eligible for reinstatement due to [reason].
- This policy is not eligible for online reinstatement.
Example: Eligible Policies-Three Options Available If the policy is eligible, you decide which option to select. Click on the option, follow the screen instructions and e-submit the request to Arbella for processing. It's that easy! - Process reinstatement (agent will collect No Loss Statement and payment)
- Utilize verbal reinstatement process (policyholder will call Arbella to provide verbal No Loss Statement and electronic payment)
- Do not reinstate (includes optional comment box)
Eligible Policies-History Feature Eligible policies will include a history of prior reinstatement requests for your convenience. Eligible Policies-Additional Features - Easy to use, with detailed screen instructions and hard stops for required entry fields
- Printable confirmation screen that includes details and date/time of submitted request
- Contact number for additional questions-Customer Service, 1-800-ARBELLA (272-3552)
Documentation Requirement Change - Agency retention of reinstatement documents, which are subject to audit (current year plus an additional four years)
Submitted requests are subject to existing underwriting guidelines and your current binding authority. Some policies will not be eligible for online reinstatement. You can always call Customer Service to inquire about reinstatement options as well. Click here for agency reinstatement guidelines.
