SPOTLIGHT ON SPORTS & RECREATION STAFF
We are very happy to welcome three experienced Rye Y staff members to our Sports & Recreation team!

Tatum-Kayla
Tatum and Kayla

Tatum Nussbaum, our new Assistant Sports & Recreation Director, joined the Rye Y ten years ago as a gymnastics instructor. Over the years, she has played several essential roles at the Rye Y - as a class instructor, school recess instructor and gymnastics specialist. "I'm thrilled to be playing a leadership role in the Rye Y's Sports and Recreation program," said Tatum. "Sports have always been an important part of my life and I hope to pass on my enthusiasm to the children of the Rye Y."

Kayla Guagnini, our new Gymnastics Coordinator and Head Coach, started at the Rye Y as a member of our competitive gymnastics team. Six years ago, she joined our staff as a gymnastics instructor and has served as an assistant coach for the team, supervised gymnastics competitions and designed curriculum for the after-school classes.  Most recently she was a summer camp group leader. "The Rye Y had a very positive impact on me as a young gymnast and I hope to do the same for our aspiring gymnasts," said Kayla.

Brian Loomis, our new Sports Specialist, was our Assistant Sports Camp Director this summer and is an avid sports enthusiast. Previously, he served at the Greenwich YMCA where he worked with both the early childhood and elementary school programs and ran the childcare pre-school physical education program.

"Tatum, Kayla and Brian are enthusiastic, dedicated leaders who will be a wonderful asset to the Rye Y in their new roles!" said Melissa Lewis, Rye Y's Sports & Recreation Director."
