Members currently enrolled in a class have the option of continuing the class for the next session at the same day and time. In person only. Most aquatics classes need an evaluation form.

15 min clinics - 15 minutes of guided wellness

Tuesdays: 10:00 am - Proper form for exercises with Ann
Wednesdays: 12 noon - Nutrition tips with Amanda
Thursdays: 1 pm -Strength Weight lifting with Chris
Thursdasy: 8 pm - Sports Strength and Conditioning with George
Fridays: 10 am -Stay Strong with Peter (LIVESTRONG participants welcome)
Saturdays: 10 am-  Strength Training with Mike

YMCA's Diabetes Prevention Program
Find out if you're at risk - Fill out our program checklist
The YMCA's Diabetes Prevention Program helps those at high risk adopt and maintain healthy lifestyles and reduce their chances of developing type 2 diabetes. Next session starts January 28 Tuesdays-10:30-11:30am or Wednesdays- 6:30-7:30pm

Youth & Teens
Adventure Guides is a new program for dads (or a favorite male role model) and kids, grades 1-4. Family Members: Free; Youth Members: $70/child and Non-members: $90/child. All dads are free.  For more information, contact Hillary Southard.

Mixed Media Sketchbook - Grades 5-7
Students develop their own sketchbook in goal-oriented classes that focus on character development and self expression. Details on page 27 of the Spring Guide. 

New Sports Classes - Lacrosse for ages 4-6 and Tennis Enrichment for ages 5-8.  Details on page 25 of the Spring Guide.
Fun Club - January 20 - Grades K-6
Enjoy a day at the Y while school is out!  Click here to register.

Learning to Lead at the Rye Y
Stop by the Rye YMCA on a weekday after 5:00 pm and you might see one of our Leaders Clubs in action. Leaders Club is a nation-wide YMCA initiative that focuses on leadership and volunteer efforts for middle and high school students.  Read more.
Rye Y Awards Grants to Port Chester School Gardens
The Port Chester School Board voted last week to accept $4,500 from the Rye YMCA to support edible gardens at three of the district's schools: JFK Magnet School, Thomas A. Edison Community School and Port Chester Middle School. Read More.

Join us in our year-long  centennial celebration. Here is a sampling of some of the planned activities.
The 2014 Rye Y Story Project Exhibit will be up this month! We hope you'll stop by and view the dozens of stories contributed by our  members.
 Registration is now open for Seeds to Schools; Building Gardens, Building Communities, a free, 1/2 day workshop  for teachers, parents, administrators, volunteers, non-profit staff and anyone who is interested in developing or maintaining an edible garden at your school.  Sponsored by the Rye Y and Jay Heritage Center  Wednesday, February 5, 2014  8:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Jay Heritage Center in Rye.  Registration required; Click to register

During our home swim meets, Friday, 1/7 and Sunday, 1/26, there will be a special pool schedule and limited parking.
We're hosting a gymnastics home meet on 1/25 - the gymnasium will not be available and there will be limited parking.
