Rye Derby and Healthy Kids Day 2013
Hundreds of runners, families and volunteers gathered at the Rye Y on April 28 for the 25th Anniversary of the Rye Derby and for Healthy Kids Day. The blue skies, sunshine and mild temperatures were ideal for running, walking and playing.

tent Rye YMCA to Host Family Camping 101 Workshop

The Rye YMCA will host a Family Camping 101 Workshop for people who want to experience a taste of wilderness but don't know where or how to start. The interactive event, which is free and open to the public, will be held on Saturday, May 11 from 10:30 a.m. - noon at the Rye Y  Read more.

Yoga Tune Up Therapy Ball System

Class will help you massage muscles to get rid of tightness, nourish the muscles, and bring blood flow and oxygen into  tissues.  Free for Members. RSVP to Diana Vita.  
Family Water Safety Workshop
Fri., May 17, 6-8pm or Sat., May 18, 1-3pm

Join us for a lecture for adults with water safety tips to keep you and your families safe this summer. After the lecture, children and adults can participate in family swim and practice water safety skills. Spots are limited! All Participants (children and adults) must register. Hot Topics in Breast Cancer Screening
Wednesday, May 22 at 10:30am - Free to all

Dr. Diane LoRusso, co-founder of Rye Radiology, will discuss new breast cancer screening technology such as the 3D Tomosynthesis Mammography. She will also examine the debate about who should be screened for breast cancer. Click here for details.

Walk to School Weeks! 
May 6-10 in Rye & May 13-17 in Larchmont & Mamaroneck.
Walking is a healthy, fun and earth friendly way to get to school. Have your kids join a Walking School Bus or walk with family and friends. Elementary School students will receive fun incentives. If walking to school isn't an option, your child can walk during recess or after school.
