RYE YMCA NEWSLETTER November 2012 |
|
Using the Y's Wi-Fi |
Dear Friends,
The strength of our community is never more evident than in times of disaster. I've been gratified by stories of friends and neighbors helping each other through the ravages of Hurricane Sandy and relieved that our own hardships were minimal, allowing the Y to offer a warm place to sit and re-charge (in every sense of the word), shower, exercise and connect with others. So come on in! The Y community is here for you.
Sincerely,
Gregg Howells, Rye Y Executive Director |

The program is a year long, with 16 one-hour classroom sessions, then monthly maintenance. A trained lifestyle coach helps participants learn strategies for healthy eating, physical activity and other lifestyle changes. The goal is for participants to lose 7 percent of their body weight and increase their physical activity to 150 minutes per week. For more information, contact Tanya Stack at 914-967-6363, ext. 206.
