Dear (Contact First Name),

Happy Mother's Day!  Hopefully we can all get out in the beautiful sunshiny weather, and have some fun with our dogs.

We will be at training May 17-20, so will be closed during that time.

Enjoy spring (it's looking like we are going to have some, after all)!

Training Tip - Voice Cues
The qualities of your voice can have an important impact and influence on your dog (or cat, or kids, or anyone else).  Pitch, tone, volume, and the myriad of other qualities that we can produce with our voice, communicate much more than just the word(s) we are saying.  Be careful with HOW you say your cue words, and watch your dog's response, if you are saying them in different ways.  Emotions tend to muddy the waters, in terms of clearly communicating something.  So speak in a normal tone of voice, with clarity, and conviction, and a certainty about what you are asking your pet to do.  Say it once, not multiple times. Follow through, if you did not get the response you wanted, with aiding the dog to do the correct action.  If you continue to get the incorrect response, you may have to lower your criteria/expectation to something simpler, and rebuild the correct response.  Make sure you are rewarding the behavior you want, and not jumping the gun or taking too long to deliver the reward.
