The big eating holidays are here.  See below how you can choose to eat lower calories in your Thanksgiving meal.

We are offering a new 6am Fusion Fitness class for those of you who were afraid of Boot Camp but want to get your workout done before you start your day.

I wanted to take this opportunity to remind everyone about the FFI Body Bucks program.  It is a great way to save money on FFI services.

 

I did not include a recipe in this newsletter.  The Holiday Recipe 2012 newsletter will be out in a week with some great healthy recipes for your holiday season.

Eat This, not That at your Thanksgiving Meal!

Most of us will indulge in a big Thanksgiving meal on the 22nd of November this year.   The choices you make will determine how many calories you ingest.  The typical Thanksgiving meal on the right contains 3,710 calories.  The Thanksgiving meal on the left is only 930 calories.  You can still enjoy a Thanksgiving meal and don't have to pay for it later with alot of exercise.
 
The alcohol in meal 2 totals 530 calories, the alcohol in meal 1 is only 100 calories.  The turkey in Meal 1 is 4 oz of white meat (200 cals) and on Meal 2 it's 6 oz of light & dark meat with skin (360 cals), add another 120 cals for 4 Tbsp of gravy.

Appetizers can be heavy on fat and calories.  The pastry hors d'oeuvres, cheese, pate and crackers total 920 calories whereas the assorted vegetables with low-fat dip total 60 calories.

We can't forget dessert!  One piece of pecan pie in Meal 2 is 680 cals.  One cup of pumpkin custard is 150 cals.  Rembember it is the flour that is making up alot of the calories on the pie.

I want you to make wise choices when you eat your Thanksgiving dinner this year.  Of course a nice long walk after dinner will help to burn those calories off.

New 6am Fusion Fitness Class

Fusion Fitness has become by far the most popular class at Fitting Fitness In.  We want to offer that class to people who choose to get their workout done before they start their day.
 
The class incorporates strength training with weights, pilates, and yoga. Class begins with a ten minute warm up that consists of low and moderate impact aerobics, forty minutes of strength training and ten minutes of stretching. This class will run twice a week Monday & Wednesday mornings 6-7am for four weeks starting on November 19th.
Pre-registration is required.

Fitting Fitness In ... Fiscally!

 

I want to remind everyone of the FFI "Body Bucks" progam, a new client referral program where your "Body Bucks" are as good as cash for services at Fitting Fitness In. Several clients have been using them lately and I thought a reminder would be helpful to everyone.

 

Here is how it works, if you have a new client referral in November you may use your Body Bucks towards December's service or you may accumulate them up to the value of $100 before you use them.

Below is the monetary breakdown of how to earn those "BODY BUCKS":
