Friend
It would be enough to set a fire under our buns just having Uranus in Aries! This is an explosive planet in the sign of impulsiveness, one that makes us enjoy pushing people's buttons or that thrusts us into action, ready or not. But add the clustering of quick heavenly bodies around this volcano, and the results can be off the charts. If you've been itching to try something new, you'll hardly be able to resist this week. If you've been "cruising for a bruising," you just might get what you're seeking and then some.
The Sun always sashays through Aries at the start of spring (by definition) but it is not always accompanied by the ruling planet of Aries, Mars. To give you an idea of its frequency, it hasn't happened since 2000 and after it reoccurs in 2015, it won't happen again until 2026. Both planets occupied this sign for varying numbers of days in 1994, 1996 and 1998, as well. But in none of these instances was Mars in Aries the entire time the Sun was there. ONLY in 2013 does this occur! So we are in a unique time for hurrying things along.
Of all these instances of Mars sharing Aries with the Sun, only this year and 2015 also include Uranus in the mix, and none but 2013 also include Venus in Aries simultaneously! For the majority of the time the Sun and Mars are both in Aries (March 20 to April 19), Venus is there, too (March 23 to April 15). Venus represents social connections, romance, partnership and fiscal matters. All of these are positioned for a fresh start. What do you want to do that's new? GO FOR IT! When will you have a better chance? The time to get a move on is particularly auspicious following the New Moon in Aries on April 10. The first half of a lunar cycle is the right time for a beginning.
Of course, any launch you contemplate, beforehand you should check your Janet's Plan-its 2013 Celestial Planner to ensure you are selecting a favorable day (rated 3 or better) and that you avoid the Moon in the condition called Void of Course, when momentum has slowed and beginnings often come to naught. We won't see a powerful quartet like this in a sign of action for many many moons!

Full Moon in Libra March 27
|
|
Tempers the Aries Impulse Briefly
A Full Moon occurs halfway through a lunar cycle when the Moon lines up exactly opposite the Sun. Therefore the signs the Moon and Sun are in are always opposite and offer a complementary influence or represent a conflicting force. Aries is normally confrontational while Libra, its opposite, is conflict-adverse. Aries is decisive, Libra vacillates. Around today's Full Moon, situations that are potentially contentious can be approached diplomatically with successful negotiations. Instances where indecision may have held one back can experience a breakthrough where a decision is reached.
All four planets in Aries are within five degrees of one another. In fact, Venus, the Sun and Uranus are all within two degrees and Mars is just a little ways apart. This is a powerful combination for the Libra Moon to stimulate! Venus of course represents women and Mars, men, so this is a very romantic set-up, accentuated by the Moon (a indicator of bonding) in the sign of marriage. I bet there will be many proposals around now!
When I examined this Full Moon a few months ago, I was struck by the Uranus involvement with Venus and Mars and how these planets were highlighted by the Sun and Moon coming right into their midst. Uranus is the planet most associated with non-mainstream anything, so immediately I thought of the fight over gay marriage. I knew the Supreme Court had agreed to hear cases on the topic in March 2013 and when I checked their docket, I was amazed to see these scheduled for exactly at this Full Moon! Very fitting.
I posted a blog about this yesterday, which you may want to read for further details. It focuses on the fascinating astrological factors associated with the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) case. I predict the Court will overturn this law. I did not discuss in the blog the California Prop 8 case, which I had not studied in depth. Since the testimony was presented to the high court on March 26 with the Moon Void of Course, I expect there will not be a definitive overturning of that law. Time will tell. The court's decisions are not expected to be announced until June. (If you enjoy my blog, become a follower and you will automatically get an email of any blog I post.)

The Age of Aquarius
|
|
Are We There Yet?
Uranus is the ruling planet of Aquarius, the sign of the coming New Age. With Uranus in Aries , the first sign of the zodiac, from 2010 to 2019, you might expect the New Age to get rocking and rolling any time now. Well, Great Ages are very long cycles, each lasting over 2,000 years! So they take a while to kick into gear. We are definitely in a transition period and various astrologers speculate as to what constitutes a beginning point for the New Age, or even an ending point to the closing Age of Pisces. I discussed that in my newsletter last month, which you can access in this archive. If you have Janet's Plan-its 2013 Celestial Planner, see the article on page 88.
Certainly the confluence of planets now surrounding Uranus in Aries indicates an excellent time to pursue experimentation and cutting edge activities. Uranus is famous for inventions, so keep your eyes and ears open to hear of important technological developments that emerge from this period. Uranus rules electricity so there could be news that impacts power generation. And you should take this as a clue to be extra cautious around electricity.
If you're one of my Connecticut area readers, you might be interested in attending a dinner lecture about the shifting of the Great Ages. It was rescheduled to Wed., April 3 from a storm cancellation in early March. It takes place in a cool "speak easy"-stye bistro that caters special events, just off Route 8 and easy to get to. The fee of $25 includes a delicious gourmet meal. Advance reservations are required by Sunday, March 31. Contact the Ritz Crystal Room at Remember When. Come and bring a friend for a fascinating evening! Or if you can't make this dinner lecture, there will be more in the near future on other astrological topics of interest.
