We are excited to invite you
to your 2016 Synod Assembly!

Once again being held on the campus of Gustavus Adolphus in St. Peter, MN, your assembly will open on Friday, June 10, and close on Saturday, June 11, 2016. We are blessed to have Rev. Dr. Robin Steinke, President of Luther Seminary, as our ELCA Representative this year. Rev. Steinke will deepen our understanding of the opportunities within our own congregations. Additionally, Steinke will brief us on what it means to be church together beyond our synod. Chaplain of the Gustavus Adolphus College, Rev. Dr. Brian Konkol will be our Bible Study leader. He will lead us in table discussions as we talk about deepening congregational vitality, enhancing global and local mission and developing servant leaders.

Registration is online only.

The registration information sheet will assist you in registering members of your congregation for the assembly and paying the appropriate fees.

Save Money!
There are two ways your congregation can save significant monies. First, when you register your voting members prior to May 15 you save $50 per registration. Registrations received after May 15 will be charged the regular rate. Additionally, if you register a young adult under the age of 35 you will receive $50 off his/her registration.

Display Policy

Our Synod Assembly Planning Team has decided to open up our display area to for-profit vendors. However, we are giving first priority to our shared ministry partners and our synod boards and committees. Register and pay for your display space to ensure your spot.

If you are a for-profit vendor and would like to be considered for a display at the synod assembly please read through the display policy and fill out the online request form. Approvals will be done early May.

Assembly Offering

This year the assembly offering will be designated to the following:

House of Grace, Montrose (25%)

Lutheran Immigration Refugee Service (25%)

SW MN Synod Local Mission Partners (50%)

(Campus Ministry, Minnesota Council Churches, Lutheran Advocacy-Minnesota, Luther

Seminary, and Shalom Hill Farm)
