Building a Stewardship House: Part II
+Pastor Larry Strenge, Director for Evangelical Mission

In August 2015, our SW MN Synod and the SE MN Synod combined to offer an in-person or online stewardship event called "Building a Stewardship House."  The response to this event was OUTSTANDING! We saw over 160 persons attend the in-person events and over 450 attended online. A key feature was that our presentations were shorter using the "TED talk" style of presentation.

Persons in our ELCA Churchwide Stewardship department took notice.  Now, using the same model they have created another online or in-person event, taking place at The Lutheran Center in Chicago, IL. Since the new stewardship webcast doesn't have an official title your SW MN Synod's Stewardship Table is calling it, "Building a Stewardship House: Part II.

Saturday, February 27th at 10:30 a.m. CST.

Online registration is required for this FREE online event by February 12th!

I encourage you to attend!

What's "Building a Stewardship House: Part II" all about?  Who is it for?

The event is designed for persons, committees or teams interested in stewardship.

Goals include offering challenges of current culture and world issues while striving for a deeper understanding of what the resurrection of Jesus Christ means today. As the promotional material says, "Addressing these circumstances (culture and world issues) is not a financial issue, but a spiritual one."

The event will invite and encourage us to engage and critique culture in our role as stewards. The event purpose "is to thank, inform, teach, inspire and connect with current and new steward leaders."

The event will offer "fresh perspectives, practices and skills as we strive together to address the challenges and issues faced in stewarding congregational and community contexts."
