Commuter Survey: Help improve transportation accessibility in the South Boston Waterfront!

The Seaport TMA has designed a Commuter Survey to obtain data about where employees live who work in the South Boston Waterfront and what mode(s) they use to get to work.

Knowing where commuters come from and how they get here helps us to focus our advocacy efforts on new and improved commuter services. So whether your one way commute includes using one single transit line, biking to work, or a combination of driving to a transit station, taking the commuter rail, and walking, or any other mode(s), we want to hear from you.

You can fill out the anonymous survey here. You may choose to enter your contact information to win one of five $25 restaurant gift cards.

Thank you!

October events that may impact your commute

October calendar: Our monthly calendar includes area events which are each expected to draw 1,000 to several thousand attendees and which may impact your commute (parking, traffic, public transportation) and area activity.

 Commuter Programs Reminders & Updates

Workout to Work Program (program finished)

FINAL MONTHLY RAFFLE WINNER:

Congratulations to Eileen of Foley Hoag LLP, who has won the final raffle for a $50 gift card for participating in Workout to Work.

The Workout to Work Program has ended. Note about Workout to Work phase-out:

The Seaport TMA staff wants to remind our current Workout to Work program participants that this program has now been phased out.

The Seaport TMA plans to focus our resources and programming on other existing programs and efforts which actively improve transportation within, to and from the South Boston Waterfront.

Please note that this program phase-out applies only to Workout to Work, and has no impact on other Seaport TMA programs such as Guaranteed Ride Home, Try Transit, Carpool matching and rewards, Bicycle Commuter Group, etc.).

Other resources:

For any safety concerns regarding your biking/walking routes in the South Boston Waterfront, you can submit comments to us at

Bike commuters should consider registering, if not registered already, for the Seaport TMA's Bicycle Commuter Group, which meets quarterly for luncheons on topics of bike commuting.

Carpool Program

Current Carpoolers: Please submit your carpooling report for the month of August by clicking here. Only one person per carpool should submit the report.

If you have already received the full number of six gas cards, please continue to submit your reports as we occasionally offer raffles and other prizes.

Interested in carpooling? Find a match by browsing our carpool listings of people working in the South Boston Waterfront who are interested in sharing the ride to work. Remember to check this list regularly for other prospective carpoolers from your area. We will also contact you if we find a prospective carpool match from those submitted.

Share the ride to work and be rewarded with gas cards, reserved parking, and more.

You'll be matched with employees who work similar hours and live nearby, making carpooling convenient and easy. Choose when and how often you want to carpool. The more you share, the more you earn.
