Kono Mini sale--two days only
Kobo Mini sale
If you're considering an e-reader for yourself or a beloved reader this holiday season, we're about to make it even  easier to read digitally AND shop local.  The Kobo Mini will be on sale this Friday and Saturday only (November 23 and 24) for just $49.99, while supplies last.  That's $30 off.  And every time you buy another eBook for your Kobo Mini, Green Apple gets a portion of the sale.

Kobo Mini is the world's smallest and lightest full-featured eReader, so it's great for reading on the go. Complete with a no-glare natural E Ink touchscreen and built-in Wi Fi, it's the full Kobo experience at a great value. Access to 1 million free eBooks doesn't hurt either!

Art Forger

There's noting worse than getting a new toy and not being able to use it right away.  To that end, Green Apple is giving away a free download of a fine new novel--The Art Forger by B.A. Shapiro--with every purchase of a Kobo e-reader (while supplies last from November 21 to 26 only).

More about the book: Shapiro's razor-sharp writing and rich plot twists make The Art Forger an absorbing literary thriller that treats us to three centuries of forgers, art thieves, and obsessive collectors. it's a dazzling novel about seeing--and not seeing--the secrets that lie beneath the canvas.

Giving the Kobo as a gift?  No worries, the download will remain available until January 2, 2013.  You can buy Kobo reader in-store or online.
Shop Local on Small Business Saturday
So Many Books
As you've probably heard by now, the Saturday after Thanksgiving is Small Business Saturday, and we'd love to see you here that day (November 24).

To join the fun, we're offering a free So Many Books, So Little time canvas bag with every purchase of $35 or more (while supplies last--we have about 250).
December 6: ClemenTime!
If you joined us last year for the Bold Italic's ClemenTime event, all I have to say is that it's ClemenTime now an annual event, and it happens again on Thursday, December 6 from 5-8 p.m.

If you missed this neighborhood event last year, you can get inspired by this photo essay.  Or just drop by Clement Street that evening, anywhere from Arguello to 8th Avenue, for drinks and food (often free), live music, activities for kids, special deals, giveaways, and so much more.

Green Apple will be pouring free beer in commemorative Green Apple keg cups.  We'll read stories for the young ones from 5:00 to 6:00 on the mezzanine.  We'll have free live music.  We'll be raffling off a $20 gift card every 15 minutes.  As always, we'll offer free gift wrapping.  And the owners and staff will be on hand to help you get started on your holiday shopping.

Our many Clement Street neighbors will also be offering goodies, so mark your calendar for a lively night out on Clement.
Thanks for reading!
