Google is ending its partnership with independent bookstores, so the way that we sell eBooks is about to change. The good news is that eBooks platform Kobo has stepped in to fill the void, a new partnership that has many benefits, including a simpler interface and log-in system with the same cloud-based flexibility you're used to.
There are two ways to buy eBooks through Green Apple/Kobo.
First, without buying a device at all, you can download a free Kobo app for iPad/iPhone, Android devices, Nook, and Sony e-readers. Easy instructions are here. Then you can browse, search, or shop for eBooks on Green Apple's site anytime you want. Sign up for Kobo through Green Apple's site, and we'll earn a portion of every eBook you buy from Kobo for years to come.
Or, check out the new line of excellent e-readers made by Kobo. The Mini ($79.99) is a light, easy-on-the-eyes gem of an e-reader that fits in your pocket. The Glo ($129.99) is a little bigger and features an adjustable light so you can read in the dark. Both hold 1,000+ eBooks; a single charge lasts several weeks or more; and they stack up very well against all competitors, including the Amazon's exclusionary Kindle.
We have demo units in the store, so drop by and check them out, or buy them from Green Apple (with FREE shipping!), and we'll earn a portion of every eBook you buy from Kobo for years to come.
PS. If you've purchased Google eBooks through us in the past, they will remain in your Google account. You will still be able to access your purchase history, download your books, and read them in the Google Play Apps, as well as via any eBook reading apps that you use on your device.
