Gunnery Sergeant Hartman says:

Got any liquid drain cleaner in the house? If so, get rid of it. These products are dangerous and despite what the commercials say, harmful to pipes. If you can't unclog it with a plunger, call a plumber!

The quote "By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail." was from Benjamin Franklin. Although this isn't plumbing and I don't do HVAC work, at this time of year in terms of home maintenance, it's time to get furnace filters checked/replaced and to have the furnace tuned up for the upcoming heating season. Being proactive can spare you the headache and expense of waking up to a freezing house on a January morning.

Plumbing's only real season tends to be the spring with all of the rain. Having your sump pump and battery back-up system checked for proper performance can more than pay for itself in the long run. Add a few other plumbing repairs to that list to get the most bang for your buck.

A shower caddy can be a useful storage solution, but...

I had a job recently where water was coming through the kitchen ceiling from the 2nd floor master bathroom shower. Another plumber had tried to diagnose the problem with no success. I checked the shower drain, but that wasn't the problem. After running the shower for several minutes, I began to hear water dripping down on the ceiling and proceeded to cut an access hole in the drywall. As it turned out, the pipe for the shower head (called a shower arm) was leaking in the wall and down into the ceiling below. I replaced the shower arm and advised the customer not to use the traditional shower caddy that hangs from the shower arm. I suggested either a model that fits into the corner of the shower or one that hangs from the shower door.

Not recommended:

   Shower caddy 1

Option 1:

Shower caddy 2

Option 2:

Shower caddy 3
