Heffner Plumbing Newsletter
|
|
Greetings!
Okay, this may be a stretch for a newsletter subject line, but it is St. Patrick's Day. Everyone is Irish today, why not your plumbing? Go ahead and pour some green food dye in your toilet bowl to celebrate!
Or if you're not up for that, perhaps you would like to know what your Leprechaun name is. Mine is "Tiny Finnegan." To find out what yours is, you can go to this web site:

If the water in your toilet looks like this, RUN!
Seriously though, if your toilet is gurgling when running the sink or shower, this could very well be a sign of a main sewer line stoppage or a full septic tank. The first thing to do is stop using the water in the house and the next thing to do is call a plumber.

The Gordon Wrench. A very handy tool for those stubborn shut-off valves.
|
Have you ever tried to shut the water off to your sink or toilet, but the handle wouldn't budge on the shut-off valve? Here's a handy tool for those DIY types. I had something like this years ago , but it broke and I never replaced it. On a recent service call, the customer had one of these tools(thanks for the idea Mr. & Mrs. F!). I ordered one and it works great!
Here's the info for those that may be interested in buying one of these handy dandy tools: Gordon Wrench

Central Indiana Young Marines Fundraiser
|
|
Many of you know of my involvement with the Young Marines program and the fact that I have been the Commanding Officer of the unit since 2010. After over 7 very demanding years as a volunteer Adult Leader, I have decided to "retire" from the program at the end of May of this year. My last big event before leaving will be a Military Appreciation Dinner/Dance Fundraiser on April 20, 2013.
This is open to active duty, retired, former military and the general public. We will have 10 World War II veterans as our guests of honor and Lieutenant General Carol Mutter, USMC (Retired) will be our guest speaker. There will be a silent auction and a live 10-piece band that will be playing big band music. Ticket prices are $25.00 per person, but will go up to $35.00 after March 31st, so get your early bird price NOW!
Tickets may be purchased on-line or if you can't attend, but would like to make a donation, please go to this link:
