Heffner Plumbing Newsletter

Greetings!
My wife would scalp me (she may yet) if she knew that I was sending out an e-mail titled like this. I can't remember when I first heard this "prayer", but needless to say it's been a few years.
All kidding aside, I have much to be grateful for not only at Thanksgiving, but each and everyday of the year. I'm not forward deployed in a foreign country, I have a roof over my head and the love of my family. I work with a fantastic youth organization called Young Marines and am a proud Rotarian. And last but not least, I have a business because of all of the customers that I have who continue to call me back year after year. Yes, I consider myself truly blessed in all that I am and all that I have.
It's my sincere hope that this Thanksgiving will be a safe, happy and a not too filling one to be shared with friends and family. And hopefully your turkey isn't one pictured below trying to make a break for the border! :-)

Please Don't Stuff The Disposal Like The Thanksgiving Turkey
|
|
Moderation and a dose of common sense typically are all that is needed to make Thanksgiving "plumber free." Small amounts of food and plenty of cold water are usually the recipe needed to keep the garbage disposal working properly. Fibrous foods such as celery or carrot peels can clog the drain and the same can be said for pastas.
These videos with Tim Bush (Treeboy) go back a few years, but the message is still relevant:
