Local plumbers helping to build a new home for a Wounded Warrior.

Indianapolis, IN-  Plumbers from the Greater Indianapolis Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractor's Association (GIPHCC) are helping to build a home in Kokomo for a Wounded Warrior. Army Specialist Anthony Walton was a radio operator while deployed in Afghanistan when his unit came under fire. Specialist Walton took 37 rounds during the attack, most of which were absorbed by his body armor, radio and helmet. Walton's left arm took multiple rounds which at this point have rendered his arm useless. He applied to the Homes for Wounded Warriors Program for assistance in repairing his home. The original part of the home was built in the 1860's and deemed unsafe and beyond repair. The home was torn down and a completely new home is being built in its place. This is all being done at no cost to this Wounded Warrior through fundraising and donations from local individuals, businesses and contractors. The GIPHCC will have plumbing crews on site Saturday, November 3, 2012 to install the water, drain and gas lines for the home beginning at 8:00 AM. The address for the propery is 1515 North Wabash Street, Kokomo, IN 46901.
