The Find Your Story Winter 2016 Challenge invited people to create short videos showcasing their favorite place in Essex County to enjoy winter-- with or without snow. Thanks to everyone who shared videos of their favorite places, and our partners who helped to spread the word about the challenge. Learn more.
New Commissioners Elected
Essex Heritage elected six new Commissioners at its Spring Meeting on April 14 in Newburyport. "Commissioners are ambassadors and advocates for this region," said CEO Annie Harris, "Essex Heritage is pleased to welcome the slate of six new Commissioners, and we're grateful for their volunteer support and leadership in promoting regional cooperation among the Area's resources and organizations." Successful Symposium On Slavery in the North
Heritage Education Update

On April 2, Essex Heritage hosted over 80 scholars, teachers, museum staff, historians, and members of the public at Salem State University to explore the history and legacies of slavery in the North. Learn more about the symposium.
