Partnership Grant Spotlight
School to Sea

Through its School to Sea program, Salem Sound Coastwatch used place-based, experiential activities to help 87 summer day campers increase their knowledge and appreciation of the natural resources of Salem Sound. During two weeks at Camp Naumkeag campers learned the history of the local area, explored marine habitats and engaged with natural resources by pulling lobster traps, visiting Misery Island, learning about invasive species and snorkeling to observe the sound's marine life.
