Essex Heritage Partnership Grant Program Announced
 Essex Heritage is pleased to announce the availability of matching seed grants for Essex County organizations through our Partnership Grant Program! Online applications are being accepted through Monday, February 17. This year, fifteen (15) grants of $1,500 each will be awarded to organizations that support Essex Heritage's mission to preserve and promote the historic, cultural, and natural resources of the Essex National Heritage Area. Heritage Education: Students Explore Global Trade in Salem
Utilizing primary source documents, maps, trade goods, and websites on international trade, three separate classes of English Language Learner students from Lynn Classical High School recently took part in a new educational program, "Salem and Global Trade," led by education coordinators from Essex Heritage and Salem Maritime National Historic Site. Partnership Grant Spotlight
Rocks Village Memorial Association
 Just ahead of the winter snowfall, the Rocks Village Memorial Association recently restored the roof of the 1840 Rocks Village Hand Tub House. The municipally-owned historic "fire station," which will be used as an educational resource and community activity center, sits on the banks of the Merrimack River in the Rocks Village section of Haverhill's East Parish.

North of Boston Tourism Summit on January 31st
Essex Heritage serves on the committee organizing the 2014 North of Boston Tourism Summit slated for Friday, January 31 at the Doubletree by Hilton in Danvers. Featuring the theme "Keep Calm and Market On," the daylong event typically attracts more than 150 25people representing a wide spectrum of the region's tourism-oriented businesses, organizations and agencies.
