Essex Heritage Partnership Grant Program Announced

 

Back by popular demand... Essex Heritage will once again offer matching seed grants to Essex County organizations through our Partnership Grant Program!  Online applications are being accepted through Sunday, February 17. This year, ten (10) grants of $1,500 each will be awarded to organizations that support Essex Heritage's mission to preserve and promote the historic, cultural, and natural resources of the Essex National Heritage Area.

Byway Park Project Advances

Cape Ann Winter Birding Weekend, February 1- 3 

The Cape Ann Winter Birding Weekend is back and better than ever! Working with the Mass Audubon, the Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce is planning a weekend filled with opportunities for bird lovers of all skill levels to join expert guides on a tour of Cape Ann's birding hot spots - including a sea trip on the 7 Seas Whale Watch boat the Privateer IV!  Learn more or to register here.
 
Merrimack River Eagle Festival, February 9
Head up to Newburyport and Amesbury on Saturday, February 9,  for a full day of activities celebrating the return of bald eagles to the Merrimack Valley! The eighth annual Merrimack River Eagle Festival is a great opportunity for people of all ages to learn about the magnificence of nature by observing bald eagles and the habitats they need to survive. Massachusetts Preservation Projects Fund
The Massachusetts Historical Commission (MHC) is accepting applications now through March 8, 2013 for Round 19 of the Massachusetts Preservation Projects Fund grant program. Learn more.

National Trust Preservation Funds

Grants from the National Trust Preservation Funds encourage preservation at the local level by providing seed money for preservation projects. Application deadlines are February 1, June 1 and October 1.

State Recreational Trails Grants

The Massachusetts Department of Conservation and
Recreation's FY13 Recreational Trails Grants program will provide grants for a variety of trail protection, construction and stewardship projects throughout the state. The application deadline is February 1, 2013. Learn more.
