About: the gift
 Here's a question to ask your children: What is the best gift you have ever received? They may name a game, or a pet, or a vacation, especially when they're little. But eventually, they may name something else. In welcoming more than 45 representatives from boarding schools across the country to our fair last weekend, Admissions Director Gretchen Cole mentioned that she had once told her parents that "aside from your love, your greatest gift to me was my education." Even the school reps, already familiar with the benefits of independent schools, were moved by this comment.
Many, many thanks to the volunteers who helped make our first such event a huge success. We are lucky to have the gift of such an enthusiastic school community.

Signup open for Parent Teacher Conferences
Signup for Parent Teacher Conferences is now open. Please contact Caterina at 925-1909 x 203 to make your appointments.
Conferences will be held on Wednesday, October 29 and Wednesday, November 5 from 2 pm to 5 pm. Please note, these are Early Release Days. By holding conferences on Wednesday "early days," we gained two school days this year.

Golf NEXT Sunday: you can still sign up!
Weather won't stop the Aspen Country Day Cup. We are ON for this Sunday, October 19.

School pictures: order info coming soon
For those who have asked about school pictures taken last month: stay tuned for ordering info. Photographer Jason Dewey is putting the finishing touches on the portraits, and we will send you a link soon. On this private site you can order prints, gifts, and more great items.
If your child missed picture day, we will arrange in-house photography so your son or daughter is included in the school yearbook.
