We're looking for the green!
And a little bit of help, too.

Awaiting-Spring Edition
March 2014

Enough already! That last blast of snow (seven inches buried Camp on March 18) was beautiful to behold, but five months of winter and 63 days with below zero temps is plenty. Our impatience for spring must be a lot like the coming explosion of green currently on "pause."

Waiting for the baby. Planning the reunion. Longing for heaven! Expectancy, as tough as it may be to endure, is ultimately the Creator's gift. In fact, the very last page of the Bible closes with these words of hurry: "Come, Lord Jesus!" Living without hope is not living at all.

Scenes from Men's Advance

Many impatient Camp friends are already counting down to Men's Advance (April 11-12), the Mother/Daughter Retreat (April 25-27), Dads N Lads (May 2-4), the Young at Heart [Seniors] Retreat (May 12-15), and summer camp itself! One Mom told us that they start packing for their next family camp the minute they get home.

Mother/Daughter Style

Indeed, there's lots of coming fun to be impatient about, like "The Sweet Path," a world record holder in unicycling, an amazing Gospel Quartet, and a Paintball Battle Royale! Can't wait!!

Annual Spring Clean-Up Day
Can You Lend Us a Hand?

2014 at Camp Lebanon is "The Year of the Cabin!" With big plans (like a gym!) in the dream stage, now is the time to upgrade some of our most cherished facilities. Scheduled cabin work includes new mattresses, A/C, siding, roofing, flooring, and landscaping. The list is long and the need is great. So is the fun!

Phil Gerth, the head of Camp's Ministry of Maintenance, is currently recruiting an army of volunteers (skilled & unskilled) to help out on the Spring Work Days (April 12 & 26, and May 3, 10 & 17). Families, individuals, and youth groups are welcome to come for a day or two or more!

Pick a date. Pick a project. And pick up the phone and call 1.800.816.1502 to learn more. Or email us if you'd prefer. Come and lend a hand!
