2014 President's Award for Educational Excellence

The National Association of Elementary & Secondary School Principals, in partnership with the U.S. Department of Education, honors students through the President's Education Awards Program. Congratulations to Lilly Cooney for earning the 2014 President's Award for Educational Excellence, the highest academic award given to the eighth grade student who earned the highest academic achievement. Lilly received a certificate signed by President Barak Obama, and Arne Duncan, U.S. Secretary of Education and a honorary pin.  This award precluded Lilly
from receiving any of the individual subject area awards.

St. Dominic Award

The Adrian Dominican Sisters, sponsors and founders of Rosarian Academy, hold St. Dominic as their inspiration.  Rosarian Academy presents the St. Dominic Award to the student who demonstrates a strong belief in God, the pursuit of truth in all forms, and the Christian values of kindness, respect and integrity.  St. Dominic led a life of active service and invited others to do the same. Congratulations to Tara O'Brien for being the recipient of the St. Dominic Award.

Rowdie Award

In recognition of three years of outstanding dedication and participation in school athletics, Rosarian awarded the Rowdie Award to Tony Azqueta.

Chatham Hall Book Award Scholarship

The Chatham Hall Book Award Scholarship, is given to a seventh grade girl who is in strong academic standing, and who demonstrates both leadership and a love of learning.  This year's award winner will receive a book entitled "Georgia O'Keefe, An Eternal Spirit" and a $22,500 scholarship for each year of attendance at Chatham Hall, an all girls' boarding and day school located in Chatham, VA, should she apply and enroll. Congratulations to Caroline Fulton for receiving the Chatham Hall Book Award Scholarship.

Chatham Hall Science Camp Scholarship

The Chatham Hall Science Camp Scholarship is presented to a rising seventh grade girl who is in good academic standing, exhibits a love and understanding of science, and enjoys asking questions about the world around her.  She is a researcher, an adventurer and a girl who has a unique perspective on the world, the problems in it, and a desire to find solutions to those problems. Congratulations to recipient Meredith Anderson
