Splinters from the Board Trent Kissinger President, Board of Trustees There's little more satisfying than crossing items off of your to-do list. The Board of Trustees, with sharpened pencils in hand, have been one a roll accomplishing important church business. First, the 501c3 application has been completed and submitted to the federal government for review! We are unsure of a specific timeframe for a response, but we will keep you posted as soon as we hear anything from the powers that be. In other news, click to continue

UUCS at the Savannah PRIDE Festival
In a brightly festooned Forsyth Park, Savannah Pride was celebrated. Numerous vendors sold their goods and passed out information while bands performed and people danced and generally enjoyed themselves.
At the UU tent visitors were welcomed with cold drinks and snacks, and some even left with glittery tattoos. The festive air continued throughout the day as our tent attendants handed out bookmarks, magnets and other information about our church. In the afternoon, darkened skies and not so distant rumbles of thunder did not dampen spirits or this wonderful day. See our photos on Facebook!
And to all of those members and friends who helped to make the day a success, a warm and heartfelt THANK YOU. Once again, we demonstrated that we as Unitarian Universalists stand on the side of love!

Hospitality Helping Hands
Hospitality needs hands! We especially need: Souper Sunday volunteers to bring soup on the second Sunday of the month, a second Sunday cleanup crew and fourth Sunday sandwich makers. We're posting a sign-up sheet at the engagement table in Rahn Hall, or you can contact Denise Boehner at [email protected] or (912) 373-3018 (to volunteer for the cleanup crew, please email Roberta Hopkins).
And of course, you can find Denise and Roberta during fellowship hour in the kitchen area of Rahn Hall. Would you like "soup," "sandwiches" or both? Tell us when to expect you (just this month? Every month?) and we will welcome you with open hearts and open arms.
