Worship Next Week
Is Non-Violence An Impossible Dream? Rev. Manuel Holland The violence of the past few months throughout the world has been overwhelming for many and may have challenged our faith in the human venture. Reverend Holland is significantly involved in many community organizations committed to enhancing the lives of those whom they serve. He served as Minister Emeritus for 25 years at the Unitarian Fellowship of Hilton Head Island, now the UU Congregation of the Lowcountry, where he was invited to return as Senior Minister. |

MH's Discussion Group
The discussion group will meet for breakfast only this week. We will share our table with the Coming of Age youth. Breakfast will be at 9:30 a.m. The Book and Bake Sale will start at 10:00 in Rahn Hall so we will have no time for discussion other than around our meal. All are still welcome!

Annual Meeting June 2 at 12:30
Want to know how your pledge dollars are spent? This is your chance to vote on it. Join us after church for election of the Board and approval of next year's budget.
All are welcome and everyone who has been a member at least 30 days is eligible to vote. It's an important way to participate in our Church's democratic process.

The Campaign for UUCS
Make your pledge today!
Pledging is the process by which we make a commitment of financial support for the new year (it starts for us on July 1) to enable our church (which is really a kind of "co-op") to continue to thrive and to make a difference in the lives of one another and our larger community. When everyone becomes a part, we are able to make amazing things happen!
Each of us giving, at a level the is generous and possible for us, and making that pledge in May will make all the difference in the coming year. First time and returning pledgers are important.

Coming of Age Overnight
Beginning May 18 at 6:00 pm
Parents and youth in our Coming of Age program, please mark your calendars for an overnight at the church on Saturday May 18th. Programming will start at 6:00 pm (concluding Sunday morning with the Book Sale at 10:00). Our Coming of Age teachers, our DRE, and Reverend Dave will be leading the event, but we still need two volunteers to spend the night with our youth. This is a fun opportunity to participate in our COA program. If you would like to help out or have any questions, please contact Jolene Byrne.

Pathways Classes in May
To learn more about the history and theology of the Church and how to go deeper in the community, this series is the ticket. Good for those planning to join as well as those just looking to learn and to meet others. Classes continue on the 18th from 9:15 am to 1 pm. To register, just drop a note to our Membership Chair, Robert Pawlicki.

The Annual Book and Bake Sale

Please help support camperships (stipends) for our UU children and youth attending conferences and summer camp at the Mountain, mountaincenters.org. Drop your recent reads off at Rahn Hall in the green container.
Please drop off your baked goods in Rahn Hall Saturday evening after 6:00, or by 10:00 Sunday morning. Thank you for your generous donations. -- John Iaderosa

Important Notice -- Parking Change
Don't get caught parking in the Handicapped parking in front of the church. It's no longer just on Sundays!
At the Church's request, Savannah Traffic Engineering made the change. With all our meetings and covenant groups, we're not a Sunday-only Church and some of our members were unable to find the parking necessary for them to attend weekday events. Our thanks to the City for being so responsive.
