Join me in supporting the voices of our community's young people of color by watching "Street Literature" -- a powerful music video produced by the youth artists at the RYSE Center in Richmond, who hope their words and music will reach 10,000 YouTube viewers by the end of the month.
Sixteen young community leaders spent nearly two months creating the five minute video, which addresses a range of social issues such as violence, poverty, and racial trauma. This self-expression is creative, courageous, transformative, and insightful.
Take a moment to watch "Street Literature," and I'm sure you'll be moved, engaged, and educated. You'll also help RYSE reach its goal of 10,000 YouTube views. Let me know what you think.
I'm very proud to be a founder and board member of RYSE. These youth are our future community leaders.
