Health & Safety Fair; Walk/Run to End Homelessness
Two great West County community events coming in October
I hope to see you at two important community events scheduled for October, the West County Health & Safety Fair this Saturday, October 5, which I co-sponsor, and the Greater Richmond Interfaith Project's (GRIP) Harmony Walk/Run fundraiser to help end homelessness, which is on October 26 (teams are forming now).

The Health & Safety Fair is a great opportunity to receive emergency preparedness tips from a host of experts, and health advice and screenings for you and your whole family. It's also fun, with games, contests, and free give-aways, as well as CPR lessons and pet microchipping.

GRIP's annual Harmony Walk is a major fundraiser for the non-profit's family housing, which provides emergency shelter and transitional housing to families with children. It includes a 3.5 mile walk and a 5 K run, and is wheelchair, scooter and stroller friendly.
