Annual General Meeting
Mark your calendars! This year's AGM promises to be a good one. Saturday, February 6, 2015 2:00pm - 4:00pm ODAS Park, Orillia (4500 Fairgrounds Rd) During the meeting, you'll receive an update on the work we have been doing in the field, new acquisitions confirmed this year and other key information on what your support has helped us to achieve. Guest Speaker: Mark Mattson of Lake Ontario Waterkeeper, a Canadian charity working for a day when every person in our watershed can safely touch the water, when the water is pure enough to drink, and when the lake is clean and wild enough that you could toss in a line anywhere and pull out a fish. Learn more about LOW. As a supporter of our work, we will send you key documents prior to the meeting. Watch your inbox in mid-January.

Award-winning Water Quality Team
Between June and November, the Carden Water Team of 14 volunteers have contributed 628 hours toward monitoring the water quality of McGee Creek, Perch Creek, and the Talbot River.
In total we are continuing to monitor 22 kilometres of streams in Carden, with plans to add more sites in Carden and Ramara in 2016. We will continue to focus on water flowing through properties the Conservancy owns or manages, or waterways in our area of interest.
It has been a great pleasure learning how to make this project happen from Ontario Streams, and at their AGM this past October, we were honoured to receive their 2015 Partnership Award. Learn how you can become a Citizen Science on one of our Water Teams

Thinking of the future
For Gord and Jane Ball, making a gift to the Conservancy was a win-win. Their family has roots in the area and they are personally invested in ensuring that every inch of ground protected by Conservancy today will be cared for forever.
By making a legacy gift of a life insurance policy, they receive tax benefits today while knowing that the Conservancy will benefit from a significant legacy gift after they're gone. Learn about how and why Gord and Jane made this gift.

Update: Office Renovations
Work continues to 'green' the office, with support from The Ontario Trillium Foundation and a legacy gift from Bill Grant. Drywall, paint and insulation have all been completed this month. The office is truly transforming before our eyes! You can read about the other activity on our website.
