BOYS CROSS COUNTRY RANKINGS

Marietta returns to top spot in Class 6A poll

Marietta reclaims the No. 1 spot in the Class AAAAAA after a brief stint at No. 2 following their first place finish at the Adidas XC Challenge in Cary, North Carolina. Their 15:52 is the fastest time of the season in the state of Georgia. Etowah replaces Roswell at No. 10 after picking up a fourth place finish in Canton this past weekend with a time of 17:01.
 
Dalton takes over the No. 10 spot in the Class AAAAA thanks to their performance in Canton. The Catamounts ran a 17:30 and placed 12th overall.
 
Chestatee, who moved from unranked to No. 7, highlights the Class AAAA rankings. The War Eagles took second place at the West Hall Invitational in Gainesville with a time of 17:33.
 
A similar shakeup takes place in the Class AAA rankings as Banks County moved from unranked to the No. 7 spot. The team put together a time of 17:50 in Gainesville a week ago.
 
Armuchee replaces Benedictine at No. 10 in the Class AA rankings. They secured a time of 19:20 at the 24th Annual Ridge Ferry Invitational in Rome last week. Union County jumps from No. 8 to No. 3 thanks in large part to their performance at the West Hall Invitational where they finished 10th overall with a time of 18:22.
 
Class A-Private has a new No. 1 this week. Hebron Christian ran the fastest time in the classification of the week with a time of 18:22 at the Gwinnett County Championships in Conyers. Two new members make their way in the rankings this week. North Cobb Christian (18:55 in Canton) comes in at No. 8 and Lakeview Academy (19:44 in Gainesville) sits at No. 10.
 
Commerce makes the biggest jump in the Class A-Public rankings moving from No. 9 to No. 6 following their 23:02 finish at the Cookies 'n Quotes XC Festival in Tallulah Falls.

Mill Creek takes top spot in crowded 6A poll

A new No. 1 team highlights the Class AAAAAA rankings. Mill Creek takes over the top spot after winning the Gwinnett County Championships this past weekend in Conyers. Camryn and Hannah Petit finished first and second respectively for the Hawks and led the team to a 19:29 five-runner average.
 
Dunwoody reclaims the No. 1 spot in Class AAAAA after winning the Hare & Hounds Invitational in Charlotte, North Carolina this past weekend. Their time of 19:54 was the top time of the week in the classification. Forsyth Central (21:01 in Canton) and Alexander (21:17 in Canton) break in at No. 9 and No. 10 respectively.
 
Perry moves into the No. 10 spot in Class AAAA following their time of 22:22, which was good enough for second place at the Greyhound Invitational in Gray, Georgia over the weekend.
 
Dawson County moves from No. 4 to No. 2 in the Class AAA rankings thanks to their third place finish at the West Hall Invitational in Gainesville last week. The team ran a time of 21:44.
 
Class AA introduces a new No. 9 team in Model following their 21:38 finish (fifth place overall) at the 24th Annual Ridge Ferry Invitational in Rome.
 
Hebron Christian takes over the No. 1 spot in the Class A-Private rankings after their sixth place finish at the Gwinnett County Championships. Their time of 21:02 was behind only schools in Class AAAAAA, and it was ahead of Class AA No. 2 Wesleyan. Walker (22:18/16th place in Canton) and Fellowship Christian (22:07/18th place in Canton) are the new No. 8 and No. 9 teams in respectively.
 
Trion is the new No. 1 team in Class A-Public after running a 23:09 in Rome last week.
