ELITE JUNIOR SHOWCASE
 

Showcase set for Dec. 27 


If you are looking for a college football home or want to be considered to play in upcoming Elite Junior Classics, this is the perfect event for you to attend. This is your chance to be get noticed by the 2014 Elite Player Review Committee as well as recruiting experts from around the Southeast! Find out if you have what it takes to play college football and receive great recruiting exposure and coverage! Join us for the 2014 Elite Classic Showcase led by the Elite Junior Classic All-Star Coaches and presented by Score Atlanta and National Preps. BOYS BASKETBALL RANKINGS
Shiloh, Laney earn No. 1 status

 

Shiloh is off to a 7-0 start with quality wins over Milton (58-40) and Peachtree Ridge (87-71) on the resume. The Generals were slated for a showdown at South Gwinnett last Friday, but the game was rescheduled for Jan. 3. Tucker takes over No. 2 in after seeing a 10-0 start

in its debut season in Georgia's highest classification. Six-time defending champion Miller Grove holds off undefeated McIntosh (No. 3) and Gainesville (No. 2) for the top spot in Class AAAAA. 


 
In Class AAAA, defending state champion Jonesboro tops the poll with Lithonia making its debut at No. 2. Lithonia lost its season opener to North Clayton but has since tallied eight straight wins. 


 
Class AAA No. 1 Laney dropped its first game of the season to Class A No. 1 St. Francis 67-64 and has ignited to become one of the hottest teams in the state since. The Wildcats crushed Stephenson 74-54 before toppling out-of-state Northwestern and defending AAAA champion Morgan County (71-67) to close out November. In December, Laney has defeated Norcross (70-59), Pebblebrook (65-59), Academy of Richmond County (73-37) and Glenn Hills (82-54).


 
In Class AA, Pace Academy used a 73-57 win over two-time defending champion GAC on Dec. 9 to takeover No. 1.


 
Class A-Private defending champion St. Francis and Class A-Public two-time defending champion Wilkinson County come in at No. 1 and No. 2 respectively in Class A.

GIRLS BASKETBALL RANKINGS
Star-studded McEachern paces field

 

McEachern's last loss came in November of 2013 and its last loss to a instate opponent dates all the way back to February of the 2012-13 season to Colquitt County (54-49). This year's Indians are 6-0 and have outscored their first six opponents by a combined 150 points.

Last year's runner-up Archer sits at 8-0 and comes in at No. 2 in Class AAAAAA. 


 
In Class AAAAA, Region 3 opponents Coffee and Brunswick top the poll. Brunswick comes in at No. 1 with its 8-0 start. 


 
Louisville-commit Asia Durr and the St. Pius top the poll in their Class AAAA debut. The two-time defending Class AAA champs are cruising in Class AAAA and sit at 8-0 with a trip to Redan on the Friday night slate.  


 
Dawson County tops Kendrick and Laney for the No. 1 slot in Class AAA and Holy Innocents' sits at No. 1 in Class AA after reaching the finals in Class A last season. Undefeated St. Francis debuts at No. 1 in Class A.
