NATIONAL SIGNING DAY FRENZY
Taco Mac to host first-ever Signing Day Frenzy

For the first time in Georgia history, the best high school football players in metro Atlanta will come together to celebrate National Signing Day. With Georgia being a high school football hot spot, it is only fitting that these players be honored for their hard work and dedication. Taco Mac Sports Grill will host the first-ever National Signing Day Frenzy presented by the National Guard on Feb. 5 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at five different Taco Mac Sports Grill locations around Atlanta to recognize and celebrate these elite players and their accomplishments. The Taco Mac Sports Grill locations hosting the National Signing Day Frenzy are: Kennesaw, Buford (Mall of Georgia), Sandy Springs (The Prado), Decatur and Peachtree City.

With over 100 schools and close to 500 players attending, this will be the largest signing day celebration ever, including players that move on to play college football at any level. Taco Mac is Atlanta's hometown sports grill and one the Southeast's most beloved places where people come together to share what they love: food, craft beer, sports and good times with family and friends. The event will be open to the public so family, friends and fans are all encouraged to come and show their support and meet these future stars. Compliments of Taco Mac, lunch will be provided free to all signees and their head coaches. The radio partner for the event is 92.9 The Game which will be broadcasting live from the Taco Mac Sports Grill at the Mall of Georgia in Buford. 92.9 The Game will also have reporters on site at the other four locations who will provide live call-in updates and player interviews.

These on-air personalities will also serve as the emcees at each location for the National Signing Day Frenzy. Each team will be assigned a time slot when its players will be publicly introduced and will make their official signee announcements. Each team's head coach will personally introduce his players and share stories with media and fans. Players will also be invited to address the crowd and media to share their memories of playing high school football in Georgia and thoughts about playing college football next year. Coaches and players will also have the opportunity to participate in one-on-one interviews with various media outlets on-site. Cedartown running back Nick Chubb, the No. 1 recruit in the state of Georgia who has committed to play his college football at UGA, will appear at the Kennesaw location at 11:30 a.m.. Norcross defensive end Lorenzo Carter, considered the No. 2 player in Georgia and one of the top uncommitted players in the nation, will appear at the Buford location with his team at 11:10 a.m. This is a great opportunity for media to have all of these exceptional athletes gathered together.

There will be a schedule provided on the National Signing Day Frenzy website at www.signingdayfrenzy.com informing family, fans and the media with information about which Taco Mac locations will be hosting which players as well as the times they will be officially introduced. Stay connected with the event on twitter using #NSDfrenzy where there will be extensive coverage leading up to the National Signing Day Frenzy as well as continuous live updates from all of the locations on Feb. 5. Also remain connected with our online state-wide signee database to see what players have signed, who has committed, where they will be playing and more.

Other interactive features include complete stats showing which conference will have the most Georgia signees, which county has the most signees, as well as which college the most signees will be attending. This Score Atlanta event is being presented by the National Guard, a strong supporter of Georgia high school sports who most recently partnered with the Atlanta Falcons for a 2013 High School Football Game of The Week program. Additional sponsors include Georgia Elite Junior Classic, XL212, CSS and, of course, Taco Mac Sports Grill and 92.9 The Game.

Leggett brings power running to Tech

C.J. Leggett starred at North Gwinnett, where he led the Bulldogs to the Class AAAAAA state championship game before they fell to Norcross. He dealt with a turf toe injury for much of the regular season, but he still finished with 1,743 rushing yards, including 840 in five playoff games.

Leggett scored 23 touchdowns during his senior campaign while also displaying

prowess as a pass-catcher out of the backfield with 23 receptions for 260 yards. He racked up 287 rushing yards in a 27-21 semifinal win over McEachern. He played his junior season at Chattahoochee, where he averaged 20.7 yards per reception on six catches.

Leggett committed to Georgia Tech in mid-December after getting a late offer from the Yellow Jackets. He had been considering Pittsburgh and UCLA. The Alpharetta native, who found success running both inside and outside the tackles, projects as an A-back for Georgia Tech. However, he could also be used as a B-back (more of a fullback than a wingback).

A compact, powerful running back, Leggett stands at 5-foot-9 and 207 pounds. Breakaway speed makes Leggett a home-run threat on every touch, but he is also reliable pounding out short-yardage first downs.
